Where the firm lives

Latorre & Company was founded in Charlotte in 1997 and grew up with the city’s Hispanic business community, from the restaurants and tiendas along Central Avenue and South Boulevard to the construction, trucking and landscaping companies that built the suburbs. As the firm grew, it moved its headquarters east to Matthews, where Independence Pointe Parkway sits just off Independence Boulevard with easy parking and quick access from Mint Hill, Indian Trail, Stallings, Monroe and the whole southeast side of Mecklenburg and Union counties.

This is the firm’s office and where the team works. Albert F. Latorre is based here, along with the bookkeeping and payroll teams, the tax preparers and the Tax Pitbull resolution case managers. Walk-ins are welcome year-round; during tax season, an appointment saves you the wait.

Charlotte is one of the fastest-growing Hispanic markets in the Southeast, and a large share of the region’s new small businesses are started by first- and second-generation immigrant families.
